Based on the precautions used during your surgery and post-operative care, the chances of developing an infection when you return home are low. Nevertheless, we provide you with a follow-up discharge care which advises each patient on how to properly manage their wound. If, however, despite following all the proper care you develop an infection, you should visit your primary care provider with whom we have coordinated follow-up care, including having sent an update of your medical history, the surgery report and discharge plan.
